HAMFEST UPDATE:
The NARLFest was held on June 20, 2009 at the new location, St. Mary's School on Willard Avenue. While official totals are not available yet, all accounts point to a record attendance by vendors and visitors. The weather held, the venue provided convenient parking and excellent space for indoor vendors and seminars. If you have photos, comments about the new venue, a review of the hamfest, or suggestions for next year, please email the webmaster at glillen@cox.net.

Field Day 2009 - June 27 & 28
Click HERE to see assignments for NARL Field Day
Mark Bonadies (NS1T) and Chuck Rexroad (AB1CR) have volunteered to lead the NARL Field Day efforts this year. Highlights will be the Mayor's proclamation at 3 pm Saturday, the GOTA station, barbecue, and more. Mark and Chuck are looking for:
l Band Captains - manage their station, handle operator sign up, ensure station stays on the air, etc. (equipment not required - we have plenty of gear)
l Food Captain - ensure adequate food and drinks
These are just the captain positions. Everyone is needed! We will need teams for:
l Friday afternoon Antenna setup (at least getting ropes up)
l Saturday morning setup
l Sunday afternoon take-down
Of course the most important thing we need are operators to keep the stations on the air! Band captains will provide sign-up lists for those who can sign up for a time (both operators and loggers). Walk-ins are always welcomed! We will have three stations on the air (one will be the GOTA - Get On The Air station for new hams). No experience required! Please mark your calendar for Field Day weekend - June 27 and June 28.
